Day Thirty.

Everyone gathered at 0830 and board the bus, to go to Coca Cola factory. The journey is very long and everyone took a nap. It was supposedly an hour plus ride but due to the heavy traffic, we reached there about two hours. Upon reaching, we were brought to a room to view a video clip of the whole process of producing Coca Cola as well as how it came about followed by a Question-Answer session related to the video. Coca Cola had their first product produced in 1886 and sold it in a medical hall. In fact, to be exact, it is sold in those pharmacies. In the past, only averages of ten glasses of it were sold. Compared to now, where technology become more and more advanced, uncountable of that product or even beverages under its line, for instance, Miranda orange, sprite and minute maid, were also sold worldwide. There were probably strategies that make these drinks become popular. One of the strategies is that, this company indeed invests a huge sum of money on this particular “business” and it has many different factories in different parts of China. The name of the company will in turn get well-recognized by many people. From there, people will buy the product. Another one of the strategies is probably they paid famous celebrities or even singers to be their spokesperson. This can eventually attract more customers. Also, Coca Cola is very active in community services, certain concerts and what’s more, the main sponsor for Beijing Olympics 2008.

We were brought to view the whole process of the production of Coca Cola. However, the timing we went is not right, they were cleaning and maintenance of all the machines were in progress. So disappointing. The in-charge still never failed to explain to us the process and knew from her that, packaging have to be done in low areas because carbon dioxide will affect it as the density of carbon dioxide is about 1.5 times that of air. After that, we were guided to the gallery room where there were a lot of stuffs that relates to the products which are exhibited there. It was really impressive to actually being able to catch a glimpse of the machineries used to produce a brand which is well-known worldwide. Hard work and effort surely, is paid off when it is all worthwhile in the future; like how they are experiencing now.
Got back to hostel at around 1200 and we had our lunch at 堕落街 before doing our project. We headed to 江汉路步行街 for shopping spree again at around 1600. Shopped till quite late and we went to Ajisen for a quick dinner when the shop was soon to closing. We then rushed to Walmart after eating and bought our stuffs for tomorrow’s picnic at 东湖. Then, we had a hard time hailing a cab back to hostel; luckily we managed to reach in time.

The amount earned each year is actually increasing
