Day Twenty-Eight.

A few chapters from the movie of The Golden Age, is being played as it is related to our lesson. The movie is showing about the process of how Queen Elizabeth communicates with her ministers as well as the soldiers in order to win the battle. I have learnt that, in teamwork, it is important so as to strive towards excellence. Constant motivation is needed in order to strive towards the common goals the teams want to achieve. Also, the ability for leaders to lead is not inborn, it has to be cultivated. Knowing all these can really allow us to apply it either now or in the future.
The Golden Age
Lesson resumed after watching the movie and we were taught on Chapter 8, Communication. This is another chapter with theory. It allows us to understand the importance of not having communication breakdown with the other parties. Also, we are able to handle different things well using all sort of different methods. Soon after lesson, we went to 堕落街for 卤肉叉烧饭. The dish supposedly should include, rice, 豆腐 and meat but it seemed that there isn’t any. We did not see any of it inside the dish and so, we didn’t finish it up. The local students came to look for us at around 2100 plus all of a sudden, it was an unpredictable one. And we had an enjoyable time chatting with them as we had not seen some of them for quite some time already. As for today, it was raining cats and dogs. Our shoes will definitely get dirty because of the polluted streets plus the cold weather just makes us feel like staying in our room, hibernating. Coincidentally, there's practical test tomorrow and everyone can prepare for it.

Day Twenty-Seven.

We walked to 建设二路 for MacDonald early in the morning at around 0740. Bought Miss Neo one as well and we managed to come back on time. We went through our test paper and did practical revision to prepare ourselves for the upcoming practical test. Daryl left the class as he was not feeling well. After that, have our lecture on the new chapter: Leadership and Motivation, Project Manager. A handout was given out to us, for us to list down the qualities of a project manager and technical specialist in our random groups. Also, did a questionnaire to see if we are fit to be a project manager. After knowing those theories, realized leaders have to understand his or her members’ strength and weakness. And that, to gather and communicate with his or her members, to develop budget as well as meeting the goals and able to lead and delegate others.
And so, after lesson, rest a while and all of us headed to 建设二路 for dinner at the 炸酱面 shop. Before that, we found out that Daryl was running a high fever and we went to the school clinic but it is only meant for the local students. So, we went to look for Ms Neo. After sometime, Ms Neo and the other two lecturers immediately brought him to the hospital. We must ourselves defend Singapore. Realizing that, it is important to take good care of yourself when you are on your own so that, others will not worry about you. Its part of one’s growing process, becoming more sensible, more mature, and learn to stand on your own feet. Hence, we, ourselves, are proud to defend Singapore ourselves. That includes defending our friends who are in need. No one else is responsible for our security and well-being, but WE ARE.

Day Twenty-Six.

We ordered MacDonald for breakfast today and ate on the way going to class for some particular reason. Had an half an hour talk and did some work. We headed to 江汉路步行街 again. It seems like this place have been mentioned in quite a lot of our entries. It’s because the place is really big and has many things. Within one day, you will not be able to shop till you drop. We filled out stomach first before we start to shop around. We had Ajiisen at 万达广场 and went to WalMart aftermath to buy Pocky and Prejoy as it was having offer. The locals saw the quantities we buy and take a closer at our trolley and went to buy as well. This shows that we are actually promoting for them. Between we had witnessed two incidents. The first one is that, a wicked father smacked his son’s head very hard continuously despite being stopped by passerby in the escalator. Probably he is teaching his son, but cannot he do it in a better way? The other incident is that, two ladies were fighting in the public and the most disgrace reason is that, they fought because of their dogs. Because one of their dogs was bitten by the other and the owner of the bitten dog actually go and kick the other dog. This result in both the owners started to quarrel and screaming at the top of their voices. Not long after, they fought with their might. Passersby started to crowd around them and tried to stop them. So, is it true that, over protect for animals can actually led to human beings involve in fights? Don’t they feel disgrace to pick a fight, worst still, in a public? Both incidents made us realized a lot of things. Indeed. Soon after, got back to hostel and did “some things” with the usual peeps due to “some things.”

Reflection on Punctuality.

We were told that the meeting time was 1300. We (WeiQin, Janice, Daryl and me) were only informed last minute that the timing was changed. So at around 12 plus, we headed our way back down already. WeiQin had been complaining that her stomach was aching. But we asked her to move on as the toilet was not clean. So half way through, she cannot take it anymore, she rushed straight to the toilet and we waited for her. After that, we continued our way back, resting at some intervals as we were all feeling exhausted. At the same time, Janice was not feeling well already. Our lecturer then called and we told her where we were at. People started calling already by then. We didn’t inform anything as we already told those who called. But we heard that, we didn’t inform what was going on. Sihao came to find us with the tour guide. The tour guide even asked us to rest. But we didn’t. As we knew that, the time has already exceeded. By then, feeling remorsefully, we had already started to increase our pace. We knew from people that, others were late as well. But we were the last and have to let others wait for an hour. They were waiting patiently but in their mind, probably they were feeling unhappy already. Driving late on the expressway is very dangerous and that, the bus driver kept on complained that we were very draggy and stuffs, that he got frustrated. We were supposed to reach school around 1900 but instead, we reached at 2100. Also, he has to work early in the morning the next day, and probably his journey back home after sending us back, may be time consuming too. The WUST staffs have to be in school the next morning. Unlike ours, we can change our timetable as it is flexible. Those staffs might have been thinking that we are irresponsible of not being able to manage our time well, of not being able to keep track of our own timing and do not have the sense of urgency resulting them to have the mentality that, we are “rotten apples.”
Some things are just unpredictable. We will not know when the person will feel uncomfortable. Now the matter is that, it’s not the ability of reaching the top. Everyone has different stamina. And we cannot predict things. Things may happen anytime. Likewise, we don’t want to see our friends collapsed or anything to happen. Yes, we arrived the last. We were all guilty but did not apologize. And so, we hereby apologize to keep people waiting for us, delaying their meals and schedules have to be changed. Ms Neo must have been receiving unremarkable comments about all of us. Guess she must have been insulted indirectly. Being late in the future, people will not trust you as much as you will be marked as an unreliable "source". This incident may cause an impact on our image, being a student of Ngee Ann. In the future, we will keep track of the time well, asking one another to move on quickly when we know that the time is going to reach. We will report the conditions, if anyone happened to be unwell, so that, the tour guide can make arrangements if needed. We are on guided tour that things are scheduled properly and lesser free time is spared for us. And so, we will coordinate with one another, change the views of everyone, especially the WUST staffs, and prove to them that, that incident was just a horrible nightmare. So that, when the future batches of students come, the image will remain a positive one.

Day Twenty-Five.

"北少林, 南武当" This is what our tour guide told us when we were on the way to Wudang Mountain which also meant the Wudang Mountain range which joins the Qinling Mountains in the west and Shennongjia in the south.
The majority who agreed to climb up the Wudang Mountain got up from their comfortable beds reluctantly and went to level 2 for our breakfast. Some were kinda pissed off as the hotel actually delayed serving the dishes on time. After eating, we deposited our bags at the lobby and this is when our journey is going to begin. To the peak of the mountain is our aim. We walked up and down be it slope or stairs, completing approximately thousands of steps. It was very tedious and the distance for us to reach the top is 4.5km. Cable car is undergoing repair and all we can do is to CLIMB up slowly and steadily. Endurance is all we can do. We took around 2hours to reach the golden submit of the mountain and there were many people there. The tour guide was already there to pass us the tickets before we headed up to the place made fully out of copper. Many people went up to worship and locks can be engraved for remembrance or for families as a form of peace, luck and success with approximately 20RMB each and had to lock it with the chains at the side of the walls or anywhere suitable. Ton of photos taken definitely, which cannot be missed because of the superb view, we have seen with our naked eyes. The sky is just above our head and we can see the clouds moving just in front of us. After which, we decided to leave the place. Everyone was very exhausted due to the climbing up and therefore the process of going down is not an easy one too. Many things occurred in between, shall not elaborate any further. Had a quick lunch at around 1600 and reached our hostel at around 2100. It was indeed a hectic day for us and muscle ache all over. We all made through even though it was really a tough journey. Indeed, there is a sense of satisfaction. Having said we were all grumbling and stuffs in the process of going up and even have the desire of turning back, giving up, why not put it in a way that, finally we are able to catch the magnificent view and it’s really a once a lifetime experience. Everything just paid off. That "overjoyed" feeling is really indescribable until you yourself experience it. This is really how awesome it is.

Breakfast: It looks similar to the one we had on cruise. I supposed these dishes are more to their likings instead of those bread and jam; Singaporeans have the habit of eating because it is convenient
 Our journey starts here
The scorching sun made us feel so warm plus the uncountable steps made us feel exhausted
We thought we are about to reach, but sadly NO

Pictures below are:
Food and beverages being carried up. The cost of those food is definitely much more expensive
Shouldering someone up and they earned around 1000RMB per month
Carrying heavy stones to build at the peak
We have to look upon them. It is not an easy task, I doubt there are other tougher jobs seen in China compared to these and not to say in Singapore
All they have is the persistence in them and everything they did, is just to earn a living
Look the perseverance they have in them. They can do it. So do us.
 And so, we continued....
Finally! PHEW.

Last but not least, its Lunch Time
