Day Twenty-Five.

"北少林, 南武当" This is what our tour guide told us when we were on the way to Wudang Mountain which also meant the Wudang Mountain range which joins the Qinling Mountains in the west and Shennongjia in the south.
The majority who agreed to climb up the Wudang Mountain got up from their comfortable beds reluctantly and went to level 2 for our breakfast. Some were kinda pissed off as the hotel actually delayed serving the dishes on time. After eating, we deposited our bags at the lobby and this is when our journey is going to begin. To the peak of the mountain is our aim. We walked up and down be it slope or stairs, completing approximately thousands of steps. It was very tedious and the distance for us to reach the top is 4.5km. Cable car is undergoing repair and all we can do is to CLIMB up slowly and steadily. Endurance is all we can do. We took around 2hours to reach the golden submit of the mountain and there were many people there. The tour guide was already there to pass us the tickets before we headed up to the place made fully out of copper. Many people went up to worship and locks can be engraved for remembrance or for families as a form of peace, luck and success with approximately 20RMB each and had to lock it with the chains at the side of the walls or anywhere suitable. Ton of photos taken definitely, which cannot be missed because of the superb view, we have seen with our naked eyes. The sky is just above our head and we can see the clouds moving just in front of us. After which, we decided to leave the place. Everyone was very exhausted due to the climbing up and therefore the process of going down is not an easy one too. Many things occurred in between, shall not elaborate any further. Had a quick lunch at around 1600 and reached our hostel at around 2100. It was indeed a hectic day for us and muscle ache all over. We all made through even though it was really a tough journey. Indeed, there is a sense of satisfaction. Having said we were all grumbling and stuffs in the process of going up and even have the desire of turning back, giving up, why not put it in a way that, finally we are able to catch the magnificent view and it’s really a once a lifetime experience. Everything just paid off. That "overjoyed" feeling is really indescribable until you yourself experience it. This is really how awesome it is.

Breakfast: It looks similar to the one we had on cruise. I supposed these dishes are more to their likings instead of those bread and jam; Singaporeans have the habit of eating because it is convenient
 Our journey starts here
The scorching sun made us feel so warm plus the uncountable steps made us feel exhausted
We thought we are about to reach, but sadly NO

Pictures below are:
Food and beverages being carried up. The cost of those food is definitely much more expensive
Shouldering someone up and they earned around 1000RMB per month
Carrying heavy stones to build at the peak
We have to look upon them. It is not an easy task, I doubt there are other tougher jobs seen in China compared to these and not to say in Singapore
All they have is the persistence in them and everything they did, is just to earn a living
Look the perseverance they have in them. They can do it. So do us.
 And so, we continued....
Finally! PHEW.
This lady is engraving the locks after we've written the names down
Ribbons and locks seen; for prosperity
Last but not least, its Lunch Time
