Day Twelve.

Attended our 2nd IS lesson today. Was taught about the history of Wuhan and knew that the population is approximately 9 million and almost 3/4 of them are living in the urban areas. The weather condition is also unpredictable. It can be extremely hot during summer or extremely cold during the other seasons. Got to know some of the tourist attractions namely: WuDang Mountain, Jing Zhou Gu Shu, Three Gorges, ChiBi- Red Cliff and the Shen Nong Jia.Was also introduced to the popular food in Wuhan namely: the hot and dry noodles, duck neck, bean pan, soup dumpling, salty doughnut and the WuChang fish. The bones of those fish in Wuhan, either they are very long, or very tiny. Have to be very careful when eating. Miss Grace, our IS lecturer also told us the 9 headed bird symbolize good fortune and the ninth one posses mysterious power. And that the people in Wuhan are as cunning like the 9 headed bird. And so, after lesson, took HeiDi to 步行街. HeiDi refers to private cab that can fetch up to 8 to 9 people. However, this time round this cab only have one real chair and two stools. We knew it after negotiating the price. We shopped and accompanied Cynthia for a while to have her photoshoots. Went to CoCo to quench our thirst. I ordered and said I want 冷. But the person replied that they only have 的,的,温的. We were giggling realizing that different way of speaking Chinese actually cause communication breakdown. So, we will try to adapt to their way of speaking, adapt to their lifestyle.
